Zero waste deodorant

Smelly armpits are nasty and not something we wat to have. Sometimes it can seem hard to find deodorant that is sustainable or "eco" that keeps your armpits scent free but I think i have found some great alternatives to normal deodorants.
Normal deodorants has alot of problem though. Because people are so different there are like 30 different versions of deodorant to chose from so that everyone can find a deodorant that works for them. This also makes it hard to find a really good deodorant and you end up maybe buying a products that is completely worthless. That is the first problem.
The second problem is the ingredients. The chemicals used in normal deodorants have been linked to cancer, Alzheimer's, damage to the central nervous system. Normal deodorants also are carcinogenic and environmentally disruptive
Here are just some of all the chemicals
Aluminum: which have been linked to cancer and Alzheimer's,
Propylene glycol: which can damage the central nervous system,
Parabens which are carcinogenic and environmentally disruptive.
Normal deodorant also has the same problem as I have mentioned in a lot of my other video and that is its packaging. Normal deodorants normally comes packaged in a plastic container with a plastic or foil (probably lined with plastic) protective thingie, and a plastic lid.
All the deodorants that I have found comes in a glass or cardboard packaging, both which are recyclable.
I would say the best way to find an organic and a deodorant that is not packaged in plastic is to first check your local grocery store. Where I live in Sweden we have a few different brands that do natural skin/face/hair/body products. Although most of them still package a lot in plastic, don't ask me why. What I had found in my local grocery store in Sweden was a brand called "Urtekram", they had natural deodorant without any added chemicals and it was packaged in a glass container but that has been the only product that has been both natural and in reusable or recyclable packaging.

At my local eco/bulk store though I was able to find natural deodorants with all types of combinations of ingredients and substances, packaged in a lot of different ways from a glass jar to a metal jar or in cardboard.
The first one from the left is a naturally made deodorant from the company Urktekram. The deodorant comes packaged in a glass jar. This one can be bought in any normal grocery store in Sweden.
The second one is another naturally made deodorant from Scence natural skincare. It is a balm deodorant and it comes packaged in cardboard and paper.

The one on top of that is a deodorant made from also natural ingredients. it is from the company naturlighet.se which translates to naturaldeo.se. It is a hard cream that you take in your hand and warm up before you apply it under your arms. It comes packaged in a little small glass jar and a metal lid.
The last one on the picture with all the different deodorants above is the natural deodorant from the company earth conscious. It is a balm deodorant as well and it also comes packaged in a cardboard packaging just like one other deo.
You can also make your own deodorant and I am not going to give you any specific recipes because everyone's bodies are so different and you need to try with different ingredients to find ingredients that work for your body. Online you can find lots of different recipes and ingredients that you guys can play around with until you find ingredients that work with your body.
The good thing about making your own deodorant is that you can decide how you want to store it.
TIP: test the ingredients that you are going to use on your wrist to ensure there are no allergic reactions, for instance, some people do not react well to baking soda. If you react to any ingredient, leave it out. If you shave your armpits I would also recommend waiting a few minutes before applying your new deodorant.
These are my tips for a low waste deodorant.
